We prioritize your privacy and thus do not collect, store, or share any of your data or browsing history. Specifically:

  • We do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, password, phone number, location, or any metadata that could be used to identify you.
  • No browsing history is stored or shared, whether from your current session or previous ones. While your download history is accessible during a session, it is deleted once the browser is closed. Only your favourites are saved and can be manually deleted.
  • Session data is entirely erased when the browser app is closed.
  • The Beldex Browser does not save any cookies or trackers.

    • BelNet dVPN

    The Beldex Browser integrates BelNet, a decentralized virtual private network (dVPN), that leverages onion routing for enhanced privacy.
    BelNet ensures that all your web requests for transmissions and downloads are encrypted and securely transmitted through multiple nodes on the Beldex blockchain.
    This enhanced encryption and routing ensures that your data is free of surveillance from third parties.

    Role of Masternodes and Exit Nodes

    The Beldex Browser uses masternodes and exit nodes from the Beldex blockchain:

  • Masternodes act as relays, and exit nodes handle exit traffic, similar to the functions in BelNet.
  • When you request to connect to a website, your data is encrypted and transmitted through masternodes.
  • A random exit node is selected to connect you to your destination website, masking your original IP address. For example, if connected to a Netherlands-based exit node, your browser will show a Netherlands IP address, hiding your device's actual IP.

    • Data Storage Security

    We adhere to a strict policy of not storing any data.

    Data Encryption

    Your requests are encrypted thrice, making at least three hops between masternodes before reaching the exit node. This process, known as onion routing, ensures that your search traffic is protected.

    Beta Version

    The current version of the Beldex Browser (v1.0.0) is in the Beta stage. It does not yet support ad-blocking functionality. However, because we do not collect, store, or share your personal information with ad companies or third parties, the ads you see will be generic and not tailored to your search behavior.

    Efficiency

    Using the Beldex Browser ensures low data and memory consumption on your device, as we do not store any search or browsing history.
